Below is the Marine forecast for the Gulf 20-60 miles South of Grand Isle.
It looks pretty good but I have one question:
- I usually fish offshore during the summer when the wind is coming out of the south or southwest. I have never been out with an East wind like this. Does an East wind usually make for a rougher boat ride or a choppier gulf or should it not make a difference?
As you see from my handle we are in a pretty undersized boat so we pay close attention to these details.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
