My good friend has pulled our 19' nautic star several times to big lake and V. Bay and gets about the same mileage I get with my chevy 1500 z71(when I didn't have bigger tires), he has 3:5:5 gear ratio. Both of these guys are running stock 4x4 trucks.

What gear ratio do yall have? I've even had my boat pulled with the 5.0 that ford has and it may have gotten a mile or two better per gallon with our boat.
Let me be clear it really depends on boat. Pulling brads 24' fish master it gets 8 at best mostly 7. Pulling my buddy's 2110 NS. I get 11
Pulling a 19' ranger bass boat I get 15. Pulling my parachute of key west over 65 I get 6. But the torque curve is awesome. I pull a boat at 70 - 73 so I guess I'm asking for it. I drive slower on way home from launch.
