It's the delivery method not the drug, ivermectin is the active ingredient. I have used it for 14 yrs with success in liquid form. The chews and pills are the weak link in HG, IMO. Have seen them $hit the chews and puke them up. Several I know give proheart and ivermectin monthly. The New cure only sterilizes the adult worms and they die off in 3-6 months, the larva are killed on the first shot. Dogs can test positive up to 24 months after the initial dose. You can still use old kill method of ivermectin and antibiotics but it takes much longer.
