these are not too bad to take apart...Ive been in mine quite a few times changing cables before...your gonna want to unbolt it and lay it with the handle side down...remove the back cover to split the case...there is a bolt right in the middle holding the lever on...check that...be care and pay attention to the key switch orientation, cables n linkages and the trim switch wires. Anybody should be able to handle this if you take your time. It may be open like this one to just access it from the back side after you unbolt it from the boat.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1391220980.134791.jpg
