What class are you going for?
Class A you can drive an 18 wheeler
Class B you can drive a dump/Garbage truck with air brakes
Class C you can drive Limo or a Bobtail without air brakes up to 20,000 pounds commercialy
Class D is a regular drivers license.
Class A and B requires a road test where you have to provied your own truck, it's not done at the DMV and you have to find someone to give you the test.
Class C is no extra road test just a written test in addition to whats required for a Class D. If you want a class c you just go take a couple test at the DMV and it gets added to your license.
I highly suggest you look at hard at the numbers part on the air brakes part. When I was working at Caro my boss sent me to take it when we knocked off early one day. I hadn't studied for any of it and that's the only part that I busted.
