I have suggested that a statewide limit of six can be supplemented on a zone by zone basis to limit harvest in each zone by limiting open dates.

I have never suggested there be no limit on deer in Louisiana, just fewer rules. Kill limit + limited open dates are sufficient to keep harvest numbers within sustainable ranges in the ten existing zones.

On top of this, we need some basic laws to enhance safety and protect landowner rights from trespassing hunters, but I'd think you should be able to fit a simple and effective set of deer regs in 5 pages or so.
