The jetties are money every time. It is the closest thing you can come to a sure thing in fishing, especially if you can make it out one of the cuts. I have a 16' aluminum boat, and I almost always find a spot to catch fish. You have to be careful and pay attention, but in a 16' boat, it's not a big deal unless you do something stupid.
If the swells are too big near the end or through the cuts, the green channel marker across from the east side launch is a great spot. Odds are you can fish the inside in the morning, and then move outside as the moderate north winds gives the swell from today's s winds a chance to die down.
