I took my 5 days of paternity leave but if I had it to do again I would take all of my vacation and sick leave for the year to be home those first few weeks.
No matter how much everyone tries to explain it and no matter how much you think you are prepared, there is NOTHING that you can do to be ready for the emotions that you will feel when the Dr. first places your screaming baby girl in your arms.
It is a true miracle and there is no other way to describe it.
