do a compression test and make sure you are firing on all cylinders, its easy for these motors to run without one cylinder and not be noticed.

in the old days if you lost a cylinder it would run really rough but these new motors with electronics and all that they can still run smooth

also replace all fuel filters and run some fuel system cleaner in it.

if its just old then switch to premium fuel and it will help out a lot.

replacing the prop will help your hole shot and get your performance back to where it needs to be to give you more years out of the motor. a new prop is a lot cheaper then a new motor.
