Quick trip on my day off. Too windy for the lake, so I headed behind Grand and was met by 20 boats casting for shrimp behind the weir. Well, I had never casted for shrimp, but I figured what the hell. Pulled out my wimpy 5 ft net and got to work. It took awhile but I got my bucket full. The shrimp are thick and big. When I was done, I decided to try for some fish and had a little luck. Didn't get a limit of trout, but got enough for a pretty good dinner. Life is good.
