Yeah, that's a Costa Rican thing. The mates usually take the heads and do the soup, I've smelled the soup and it smells great, but just can't bring myself to eat the fish head soup. Kind of like sucking the crawfish head. Lived in south Louisiana for 10 years, and loved the crawfish boils, but just couldn't bring myself to suck out the head...
