I would strongly suggest you consider getting at least a 3000 lbs trailer for that. having more then you need is not a problem but not quit having enough can be a problem when stuff happens

just to clarify myself, get double the weight load of just the boat and motor and when you double that weight it covers all the gear and extra weight you might ever find yourself having on the trailer including the above mentioned foul up with the boat full of water.
remember, if you go too heavy on the trailer it wont have the needed give on the suspension to cushion the ride but you do want extra for insurance if you are ever overloaded from normal
