I was told by the dealership that if I wanted my 40 to be a 50 I just had to buy the 50hp ecm and plug it in and that's it. the guy said several models were like that but i don't know if that's still true today but if the specs are identical then that's probably the only difference, the ecm tuning.

So in short, if you want to turn the 150HP into a 150HP, all you gotta do is change the ECM.
