H&H Backcountry is what I grab most often. I own a dozen of the H&H rods spinning and bait casting. Just great sticks.

I have the Sarge, the BillyStix, original AllStars, Castaways, St Croix, etc - but for trout and reds the Backcountry is the one I grab first - Curado or Chronarch 50 or 100.

It has a stout enough base to handle bruiser reds and a soft enough tip to permit flip casting soft plastics. I have caught lots of trout throwing 1/8 jig heads and a dozens of reds 34 to 44 inches on that stick.

Light, strong, sensitive. Made in SW Houston by a Sugarland FireFighter. He owns his tooling for his blanks too. Worth a look. Very good pricing for the top quality he builds. I like the foam slit grip shown in this pic, but he will do cork too.
