Those that found their way out on the lake last week were rewarded with good catches of redfish and flounder and some solid speckled trout. Most catches came from the south end of the lake. The south end cornered most of the clean water in the area. Most of the system was mudded up from almost daily rain and strong south wind. Captain Jimmy Deason and his party fishing with black and Chartreuse Hackberry Hustlers scored with some larger trout under a popping cork. Josh Johnson and his sons from Mt. Pleasant Texas fishing with Captain Mike Bares caught some solid redfish and a few trout on live Poggie while at the jetties.
