If you find a good amount of bait don't write off that there are fish near by. There are SO many shad in that lake. Usually can catch fish shallow any time of year. If you're having a hard time getting bit, flip a speed craw at whatever looks fishy. Fish it like a big pond basically. Not saying you can't catch them deep though.. caught 2 limits and culled close to another limit off the end of one point about 3 weeks ago.
