it is important to hit the spot lock button twice to lock to a spot immediately, otherwise it will take 3 seconds to allow you to save the position, then lock. this is where alot of people go wrong. the 3 seconds lets you drift too far off the spot you want to fish. Also it is important tho let the boat "settle in" for a minute with the wind and current.
I have seen people zig zag areas with hand control motors fighting to stay on a spot.
you will not regret it one bit. Only thing I would do different is to get the self deploy.
