The fishing continues to be good even with the heat. Gary Gregoire and crew jumped on the Bluewave and we headed south early trying to beat the heat. Surprisingly there weren't a lot of boats out today so we had an opportunity to move around structures to locate the fish. We located the fish pretty quick and just moved with them. We started with a steady bite and I don't like leaving biting fish to go look for a faster bite so we stuck it out until the bite came to a crawl and we were mainly catching throwbacks. A couple moves with only a few fish to show we pulled up to a structure with no boats in site and got onto a fast and furious bite. It was the bite we were hoping to find since leaving the dock. Double rigged Matrix Shad in Ultra Violet and Avocado with a slow retrieval with a twitch seemed to work the the best.
