Right you are! There is a small window when a front comes through with west to northwest winds blowing for a day or 2. This will push in decent water from the west and allow the pass and points west to clean up a bit. Quick timing is everything with a high river running. Any south to southeast wind will dirty up in hours. Can be productive on T butte when you get that brief 1/2 day of cleaner water.
