Venice, La. Inshore Fishing Report—Super Strike Charters-3/13/2015.

The inshore fishing for Red fish is excellent right now. March-May are three of the best months to fish inshore out of Venice. The weather is usually about as nice as it gets with comfortable temps., and not much rain. So for the next couple of months the Red fish and trout bite should be very good. Since we had a mild winter baitfish such as finger mullets and pogies, crabs, and shrimp will be plentiful in all the prime areas we fish and there should be a lot of action. Most years late April-June would produce a better trout bite than early March thru April, but this year it should turn on sooner since it looks to be an early Spring. If your into catch and release for big Bull Reds they will be plentiful as well, showing up along the beaches and jetties. We still have open days to choose from and you can mix in some offshore fishing as well since it is a great time of year for that also. Lodging is available throughout Venice in our lodge which is right on the water in the marina or local hotels.
