I have the 9 in tapered flex its decent but Dexter is a better knife in my opinion. I use the dexter boning knife on reds to get the fillet of the bone then use the dexter fillet knife to remove fillet off scales. The only thing I like the bubba blade for is larger trout. It doesn't hold an edge well but I wouldn't expect it to really. You either get a blade that holds an edge or one that is easy to sharpen. Not both.


I also have a Kershaw fillet knife that is a decent blade.
