I wont get into actions, price ranges, or brands to start a pi$$ing match.

I own from $69.99 rods to $549.99 rods and fish them all so I'm not biased on brand ( Bass and inshore ).

This is strictly about your preferred rod length for fishing 1/8 to 1/2 oz. jig heads with mostly a lil john or matrix shad attached.

And also your preferred rod length for fishing topwater walking style baits in the 1/2 to 3/4 oz. range.

This is based off of fishing from a boat and not wade fishing. Also bouncing between BL and the ship channel.
