Due to a previous thread, I thought I'd do a little research. A question was asked about the Diawa Coastal and its attributes. I stated that I personally liked the Coastal. Quick replies came stating that the coastal was junk with no explanation. Today, since I couldn't get out on the water, I tested the coastal against a curado 200cu for casting distance. Well, the curado with the same rod and weight outcasted the coastal by an average of 14.5 yards making 5 casts with each reel. Based purely on casting distance, I've decided not to buy any more coastals.
