Wanted to let everyone know about a new book that pays tribute to the service men and women who fought in the Vietnam war. This book attempts to highlight the many memorials and monuments (and their stories) that were built throughout the country - most through private funding due to condemnation of the war.
My neighbor, a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan has been helping the author, a retired army colonel, with the final steps of publication so I have been able to watch the book progress over the last few months. This is a topic very near and dear to me as my father was a door gunner in the early stages of the war and I will be picking up a copy for him.
Interesting book and would be worth a look if you know of someone who participated in the conflict.
