BigGrin Hopedale 9-5-09

Made a half day trip to Hopedale, half day because of the rain. Took my dad for his first saltwater trip to try and catch some reds. Well thanks to Hopedale Hustler we succeeded. I have been telling my dad how much tougher the redfish fight than bass and he got the full effect today. He was attempting to set the hook on a red and it took his rod and reel right out of his hand and into the water. We were able to recover the rig and almost landed the fish. Needless to say he will not under estimate the power of the red. Came home with 7 reds, 3 specks, and a nice flounder. Caught about 12 reds and 2 spadefish (maybe not sure if that is what they are called). All in all a great day for as long as it lasted.
