Default East Side Help

I am looking for a little help or direction. I am fishing in the IFA kayak championship this weekend being held out of Chalmette. We are able to drive and launch to fish anywhere we want. The problem is I don't know too many areas to fish on the east side of state. I need to catch a bull red and a trout. Longest combo of the two wins. Any help appreciated.

Should I just stick around the MRGO area?

This is a big shot in the dark but I know Delacroix isn't too far from chalmette. Maybe 25-30 minutes.

I'd launch in hopedale and throw stink on the bottom behind the Dam in the MRGO for my bull red and possibly a big trout....
