Went out this morning, left the quintana at 4:45am. Wanted to head to marsh island. Water was very rough, got to dry reef and called it quits., turned back to the point caught 5 reds and 8 flounder.

Went this afternoon to the pass. Caught a dozen trout on the reefs with Vudus under a cork. Stopped bu the weirs on the way back to throw a cast net. ended skirting the storms on the way back to the landing. shot below was from Cote Blanche bay looking back at dry reef. Had to wait for the storms out before heading in.

Bayou patout and any canals that dump into it,look for current cats will be there. Also bayou warehouse is good for cats. I used live and cut pogy on a carolina rig. Caught the bass on the same rig, shocked the hell out of me. I know the area has bass but never caught them that way before.

I am not sure where those areas are, I had a bait well full of Pogeys and mullet yesterday, ended up throwing all back. Do you catch pogeys close I went all the way to Gordie weir to catch bait then went outside Bayou LeBlanc, all for two trout, anchor would not hold nor the power pole, it was rough

Bayou patout is the new draw bridge you cross to get to cypremort point...there is a launch just before the bridge on the right. Caught the pogys right by the boat launch...just idle along the bank and look for movement on top and throw the net. Had a commercial crabber tell me he watched someone smoke the reds right off the bank there recently on pogy's.

Yes the launch is good....just gotta be careful on low tide it can get shallow in the area. For the most part if you stay in the middle of the main bayou's you will be fine. Don't run stumpy bayou untill you learn it,it lives up to it's name. If you look on google maps most of these areas are named.
