Nat geo. Idiots fighting over a can of peaches while you know a 1000 squirrels and a million pigeons are frolicking in the park near by.

Drinking water would be my only concern, food is easy and can go without it for a loooong time before dying.

Wanted to check it out but don't have nat geo, guess I'll be searching for it on youtube...hell if something goes down my girlfriends grandparents have 5-6 deep freezers completely full of food. Anything you can think of its in there. I think they have 3 in each house. Plus the chickens, geese, ducks in the coop. I do feel bad for these people that wouldn't be able to even clean a fish. They wouldn't be welcome.

Deep Freezers are great but those items are in a freezer for a reason... If America goes off the grid that means no electricity unless you have a generator that you can keep running until that food is used up or goes bad.

Those deep freezers are good for what a week? before every thing spoils.
Got a generator? Good .That noise is like a beacon telling everyone where to try to beg, borrow are steal food.
So in a true SHTF situation.Unless you are well set up to defend your ground ( not just lots of lead) Being mobile w/ a way to build a fire catch ,kill, food . and a way to purify water and some type of temporary reusable shelter is the way to go.
