Default Prefered artificial bait

I'm not huge into catching triple tail but got word from friends that they are on right now and he gave me some cords so heading there tomorrow. He catches them on live shrimp, my questions is has anyone ever caught them on artificial? If so what do you use?

Don't need live but if your going just for 3 tail only get u some dead shrimp

I use trout row on small treble hook under a cork

U can catch them on light jig head with sparkle beetle or gulp

I always use leader on everything but I would say a 20lb floro leader would be great. Their gill plates are extremely sharp.

man i appreciate it, every time I've caught one has been on accident never actually targeted them. but they taste great so might as well go after them.

When you see one just pitch it a few feet away from them and drag into their line of sight. And they will usually follow it out. I don't think they see that great so when you pull it towards them get it kinda close but don't throw too close to them so you don't spook em.
