What a day on the outside of the islands. NO wind at all, and the larger trout were feeding... sorry no pictures, but I stopped at 15 trout simply because I received a call from my wife saying that my daughter gave birth to our second grandson

. Fishing buddies soon to come
Ended the day with 15 trout between 15" and 20". Tagged 5 redfish, 4 trout under 15" and one Mangrove Snapper.
Bait of choice was a pink Paul Brown for the larger trout, and my favorite set-up for the remainder of the trout (She dog with Creole shrimp under it).
I arrived, and a man with his son was there, not catching much. I tried to get his attention and have him move closer to me as his son did not look to thrilled to be there... I was trying to help, but no luck.
He left as I was still reeling them in, and then a charter boat stopped for about 10 minutes with again no luck and left.
They were all using live bait, I was using artificial. I tried live bait and did nothing... I guess sometimes they just do not like the live stuff.
