You did not say how you are using your existing light but here is a picture of what I use when going hunting. I mostly run in bayous to get where I am going, so a hand held light works good for me. I also have Q-beam light but I like the yellow light that throws out a very good spot beam. I have seen regular headlights mounted on the front of boats that really seem to work good.
This light was originally mounted on top of a pick-up truck [way back when that was allowed]. When the law was changed, I got the light from my BIL. The light had a 500 watt bulb but when it burned out, I found a 1000 watt bulb as a replacement. There is an on/off switch mount on the handle that is not shown in the picture. I have been using this light for 25 years. |

I have a go light that I got from bass pro and I like it. It's remote control too.

sorry. i should have said handheld.
i have q beam 1 million candle now and thinking of going with cyclops seeker 3.5 million handheld. the mountable one would not fit my needs(or budget) as i like to frog and would want to maneuver it around. when running i could rig it stationary. gerald, i bet 1000 watt boils water. thanks guys. i appreciate the response. i'll see what i can scrounge up. not sure whether more candle power is the answer or if tight beam has a lot to do with it.

Check out some of the Auto parts stores web sites. They have lots of lights listed. You might want to go by one of the stores at night and try out there lights. That 3.5 mm CP light might drain a 12 volt battery fairly fast??????? |

Golight or led from gatortrax. You can search the web and find the bulbs they use for their setup. Crazy bright

No go light is a base mounted remote controlled spotlight. Go with the Stryker model or Stryker HID if u can come off the $$
