How long was Omega Protein in Cameron?

Omega Protein closed their Cameron operations in 2013. Does anyone recall how long they were there?

All I can recall is "several decades". Anyone have anything more specific?

I know somebody whose dad worked there for 40+ years and they said 56 years. So that would put it opening somewhere around 1957 which is also the same year Audrey hit Cameron.
