Default Hydrofoil

How well would one of these work on my boat? I have a 16' Alumacraft with a 60 Yamaha. I'm looking for something to help keep the boat out of the water a little more so I can run in a little shallower water. Would this help out?

Buy it and try it.....it helped on my old boat a lot! But on the little whaler, it made it uncontrollable! It picked the boat up so much, it would turn in a side wind.......VERY scary!!!

I'll probably end up doing that, my boat is so heavy at the back that I think it would end up picking it up just enough.

They are a waste of money bro,you either need prop work or trim tabs. Those fins only help the boat from bouncing and helps a little with control. But these problems are either a prop issue or you may need trim tabs.

Trim tabs are out of the question, too much money. What would it run me to get prop work done?

Or a hook, which is free.

I can't bend them down because of the way they're made and welded onto the boat. As far as swapping goes.......ummm no lol, I can only get that boat up to 37 with nothing but me, the battery and 6 gal of gas.

If your main problem is running in shallow water you would need a jack plate. I can get you a good deal on one if you want.

From experience, they make a big difference. Old boat would porpoise without it. Little whaler is WAY out of the water with it.......Hull is only 300lb, that may make a difference, not sure

I had a 17' bass boat with a 135 that would fly. I had to have one so when i was running top end i could control it as far as picking the boat up i didn't notice a difference. but i wasn't paying attention. I will say it made a big difference in hole shot and stability while running
