Now would be the time to go scout for structure along the banks......That's if you can launch your boat.

There was no water yesterday either, almost found that out the hard way. I was running hot in Bayou Garret headed into Weeks Bay and right in the middle of the entrance of the canal there were two crabbers washed up hard. Put the jack plate up and hammer down and crossed my fingers. My 300 looked like a gator tail. Lost an anode but made it out. My vietnamese is rusty but I don't think those dudes were all that impressed with my rooster tail. Especially when that north wind hit it and cleaned off their boat. Had to trim up all the way to get my boat on the launch at Quintana. Think I will find another place to fish tomorrow.

I noticed how low the Vermillion River was this afternoon.

I pass over the river every morning on the way to work and it was at the lowest level I have ever seen.....The shyte was even having trouble floating. Wouldn't take much to lose a lower unit right now.:*****:
