there are programs to download your files on to your computer, then transfer them to the new unit. Congrats on the new boat

My old one went with my old boat when i sold it, and didnt save any of the data, my new one is a garmin 73dv

There is no way I would have let my data go lol. It would have driven me crazy to lose all my waypoints. On my Lowrance units, all you have to do is copy the data to a micro SD card. The units have a micro SD slot so its pretty simple.
