Fishing Guide
I too am interested in any good fishing guides for Bi Lake. Just starting fishing this end of the state last year. Had been fishing Grand Isle area for over 16 years while working there. Kind of got spoiled there. Decided to buy a boat again after wife showed interest to start fishing again. Been fishing VB area and not having had much luck especially this year. Looking to may be try Big lake.

I have had 3 procedures on my lower back and hold 3 different USCG licenses.
The USCG told me that if my doctors release me for full duty then I can go back to work. I just had to have the release papers from the doctor sent in with my renewal paperwork. |

I have a USCG captains license, but do not hold a LA fishing guides license, nor do I ever plan to. 2 diff. things.
As far as good guides on the lake.....I'd personally recommend either of the 3, all 1st class: - Hackberry Rod & Gun - Stansel's - Big Lake Guide Services - Poe's - Calcasieu Charters - Eric Rue |

Doc said no
Hey Ray, CG wanted a letter releasing me to renew my license and my doc would not give it to me. still have an inactive license that i can upgrade if my doctor releases me, which he will not. So I guess I should not have included CG in the statement.

I had to have a work release in order to come back to work. My doctor didn't think I could, so he sent me to a facility in Houston that ran me thru all kinds of tests, including vacuming the floor, and I passed with flying colors. The doctor blessed it and the USCG said OK too.
I didn't want to live the rest of my life on disability. Obamer don't pay enough yet. I still suffer a lot when I get up in the mornings, but it goes away after a couple hours. I have to pay for all the stupid things I did when I was younger. This is my payback I guess. |
