I took my Motor Guide apart to do some troubleshooting and saw a circuit board that looked like the mother board from my laptop. I carefully put the top back on and brought it to The Trollmotor Shop in Baton Rouge...I got "skeered"...

I alway draw a picture of where the wire connect.....write down the color of each wire. If you have 2 wires of the same color....put a little piece of tap around one of the wires.

Double check the drawing.....before disconnecting the wire. Yes....this takes a little while to do-----but it can save you hours, when putting it back together.

I just did this on my 5 speed module on my foot controlled motor on saturday. What I did was take the replacement and put it right next to the old one that I was taking off and I would unplug one wire at a time from the old one and put it on the new one. Then chunk the old one and install the new one with all the wires plugged in the right location.
