Kelly from Marsh Works Lures and I headed south after watching the weather for awhile. We were going to hit the water for sunup in the kayaks but over 2" of rain this am was not on the program. We waited it out and decided to head south looking for some big reds to film. Lures used today were Marsh Works inline spinners and Marsh Works regular spinner and both were used with 3" purple thang bodies. The reds smashed them left and right either sight casting or blind casting. We caught fish from 22" to 30+ throughout the day. After playing around with the reds we decided to look for some trout. Found some nervous water and shad floating to the surface dead or injured! hmmmm.... Start throwing out the killa squilla shrimp in opening night and they started hammering it every cast. Too bad they were 10-11.5" trout. After that we decided to call it a day and make the paddle back. Had one surprise today. Saw a big black shadow come to the surface in a bay and thought it was a gar at first. Eased on over and saw white fins and it turned and saw gold. This red was over 40"s and Kelly could hear me yelling as it just sat and looked around! Pitched the spinner and I thought he missed it and then he just opened up and inhaled it! Went to set the hook and I pulled it right out his mouth and he went nuts and soaked me. All in all it was a fun day. Thanks Kelly for a great trip and thanks Marsh Works for quality lures that took a hammering today and will be ready for the next trip!

Pics and video coming soon

We need to plan on that sometime. Either boat or kayak. I can always borrow a friends kayak for you and put you on some reds up and close. I may go tomorrow to get some more halfshells for the weekend
