Got one at the shop. No problems to speak of really. Puter gotta be on is all.

I was wondering if my alarm system would work through it, also do you keep the same phone number

Like I said earlier, your computer has to be on so, battery backup would be a must. You are issued a number at their choosing. I use mine as a fax line and for all my long distance since my local carrier wants to kill me on long distance fees.

Been having one since 2008 and it works great. Computer needs to be on and you can use the computer while using it.

Buy it at Wally World and if you don't like it, bring it back. I found the faster your internet is the better it works.
