Man I have a bad case of fishing withdrawals! Could not go last weekend and this weekend is sounding like a no go now. I need the smell of marsh mud and sight of tails in the horizon!

Southshore, I feel your pain. I have a little camp on Bayou Lafourche in Leeville. Around March, we were all getting 'pumped up' for the spring/summer trout run out in Lake Raccourci/Timberlier before everything changed. All the waters around us are closed to fishing and boat travel in general. I hear rumors that some of our water may be reopening soon. Fingers crossed....

My brother in law built a camp last summer on Grand Isle and bought a catamaran fishing boat this Spring, then and they shut his area down too. They's some p.o.'ed mudders.

You ought to hear the 'obscene' amounts of money BP is paying for camp rentals. I'm sure you would have to go in later and refloor/rewall the entire thing after they leave but who cares. On some properties $12,000-$19,000 per month.(this is all hearsay) I could do alot of 'renovations' for that kinda cheese. Unfortunately, we just have a travel trailer.

Brother in laws place is in a restricted neighborhood. No full time living, no leasing/renting.

I guess BP figures they will go ahead and spend it before ACORN gets their hands in the 20 billion

Yeah, I have a friend that has a camp and doing pretty darn well. Locked them into a darn good contract that they pay even if they do not need to stay there anymore.

Got up this morning and saw how dead calm the wind is! Makes me want to throw some topwaters so darn bad!
