Default Tarpon at Calcasieu Point
I hooked this Tarpon Saturday (Oct 2, 2010) while kayak fishing in the Cajun Castaway tournament. This was at Calcasieu Point in the LNG turnaround. Hooked him on a glow/chartreuse sand eel. I was NOT fishing for Tarpon, nor was I prepared to land such a beast with my light tackle. I did manage to get some video of its aerial acrobatics. It was an exciting fight while it lasted, lots of great jumps and a screaming reel.

didn't Chas or someone post about a baby tarpon in Prien earlier this year?

Great pic. I would have sh*t my britches.

Would be great if they make a come back in the estuary.
