Default V-Bay @ the Point 12/4

Put the yak in at the park around 8:00am and saw a crowd of boats in the cove. Decided to stay away and fished close to the park instead. Water was very clear despite the winds all week. Caught a dozen nice trout on plastics on the bottom. Heard that weeks bay was producing really good this morning with birds working but beyond my reach in the yak.

color was not really important. I caught on 4 different colors of the same plastic just to see if it did. The darker seemed to work better.

nice catch man, shoulda went there instead of the duck blind this morning. You are right, the water does look good for all the wind lately.

So you're telling me that fish swim outside of the trash pile AND the cove in VB?

What I'd really like to know is how you manage to never gut-hook any of the fish in your pictures. Your pics are always "clean" catches.

Maybe the old theory of 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water maybe a little off?
Only the good fish get their pic taken and maybe released. Gut or fowl hooks are anonymously tossed in the cooler and get the knife.
