Default Big Lake 29 Dec 2010

Fished North End today with future son in law. It was cold and clear early with about a 1000 birds working. Caught a few big trout early along with a red. Continued to make long drifts and moving around a good bit. Ended up with 16 trout and 5 reds. One red was 25 and went about 8 lbs. He was a football! All caught on pearl/chart jerk jr (big spec), TX roach flapping devil (big red), and natural shrimp gulp and chart minnow grub gulp under cork.

Overall a pretty steady bite despite strong E then S winds and a loaded Champion bayboat with dual yammies tearing up Turner's at 3/4 throttle leaving a muddy trail across my drift.....

Gentlemen, the Reports forum is for reports. Keep the bashing and stupidity out of it.

Thanks for the report, nice fish. SaltyShaw and I ended with similar catch. The wind wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I had a great time fishing with SaltyShaw.
