Default Power finally back on

Well many are still without power and my parents are included in that. At least they have a generator.

Worked last night and came out to 2" of ice on my windshield and no working heater in my truck!!! woo hoo fun fun.

Then on the way home go stranded between several down trees. Luckily I brought the old Stihl with me and went straight to work. Finally made it home bout 1pm and no power! lol

At least the house was warm.

Sorry you had to go through all of that, but I'm glad your power is back on.

Just came from my parents. They live in the "stix" and they arent gonna have power for two or three days.

My dad spent the day shooting limbs off power lines with a .22 rifle. 66 and bad knees and still the hardest working man Ive ever known. Offered to bring them to my house but they are stubborn and wont come. lol oh well , gotta love em anyway.

Could have been much worse---1985 ice storm lasted 9 days and we were without power for 11 days. Cooking on a wood stove and takin "spit" baths as my mother called it--simpler times and much happier too.

There was an ice storm in Cameron in the early 90's.
No power for 5 days, ice everywhere.
I slept under a few blankets with hand warmers on both sides of me.
Never have an all electric house again.
I got a 20 KW automatic generator. We prolly will never lose elect. again now.
