Default They are so screwed up!

The Feds and the state are so screwed up, it amazes me everyday! I am posting this here, instead of the hunting forum since I think it deserves more notice and exposure for debate, and is not a true "hunting report".

I have just read that one proposal in the upcoming changes to the LA. hunting regulations is to require non-toxic (steel shot) on private lands as well as WMA's for the shooting of blackbirds, crows, cow birds, etc. Really, I mean this time of year I let my kids mow them down and make a jambalaya. Lead shot is almost too expensive to allow them to continue doing what they enjoy so much and it keeps them off the street and out the house. Now, I know they won't be able to do it any longer w/ the steel shot requirements!

• Amending the language pertaining to the take of crows, blackbirds, cowbirds and grackles on private land and WMAs due to a change in federal regulations. Non-toxic shot and an annual report submitted to USFWS will be required.

Yeah, those target loads are pretty cheap.

EPA (off topic) has gotten out of control with regs...we need them but some just increase cost and are ridiculous...

Yeah they got #7 steel at Wal Marks for cheap. Won't be long before all shotgun shells smaller than buckshot will be non-toxic. Maybe not turkey shot, but I see it coming. I have to agree with the new law using non-toxic shot on snipe on WMAs. It was pretty ridiculous that we were forced to shoot steel for waterfowl and then on the same exact field after season go out and shoot lead at snipe! Also, alot of people dove hunt in vicinity to where they hunt waterfowl, sometimes in the same field. I could see that being regulated soon as well. Save the SNIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
