I agree with Jeff 120%. It's not the same out there. Kevin Savoie sits in an office all day, so what does opinion mean, nothing to me. Sammie Faulk "doesn't see a problem" with this? Hmmmm, he is main culprit that pushed for dredging. Oh, and he is on the infamous task force for the lake. I understand they need to make a living, and that's fine. But, the minute they move the line further north, notice how that next reef up is destroyed with 30 boats on it.

These are things that people need to know. They read the article and may assume this guy is out checking these reefs every day...which we all know the answer...

I also love to eat oysters, as Jeff stated, and don't want to see it closed. But, I think the ways of tonging for them will be reintroduced, or I hope so at least. Recreational fishing brings WAYYYYYYY more money to this state than does oystering. I asked my buddy yesterday after I finished fishing if Basket Reef had some pretty oysters. His response was....."Well yeah. There were a bunch of them (oysters) on there until everybody started seeing us. We were generally done with 3 boat limits (30 sacks) at 9:00a.m. everyday. Now it's getting a little tougher with all them damn boats on there now." I, myself, counted 30 boats on there yesterday. It is mindblowing when you actually witness this "fleet" raping the reef. THis is a touchy subject among guides.

The lobby with the most money will win.
How about dredging but throwing back half of what they dredge.
That will break up the Hook Muscles but not wipe out all the oysters on one reef.
