I have the 998 SC I. I love it. The mapping is not great for this area, but the imaging is great. I'll try to find my receipt to see where I bought it. I got it about $200 less than the MSRP.

I have the 798c SI on my Jon boat and love it. SI works great on the river. I have a couple of sites stored in my favorites at home with some really good prices. I'll pm them to you when I get home from work about 6:30.

Fool, I had the 997cNVB. The unit was AWESOME. They are expensive but really really sweet. I'm not much help on where to find them at the best price though. If you can't flush mount it put it on a RAM mount. That will make it easier for you to keep it indoors when not in use. I'm also going to suggest a friend to you on facebook. Friend him. He was the best resource for all humminbird products I ever came accross.

Dad just bought the 898 SI from humminbird...first time we used it we located some submerged logs and pulled some fish from them. He paid about 200 cheaper by talking a dealer down.

Said he paid 1300.

Just bought the 988 and 978 for new boat. I bought them at ****'s Sporting Good booth at the Classic. Might want to check out there prices. I have not used them yet, new Haynie not in for a few more weeks.
