grand isle/ fourchon report

went down thurs afternoon with the wife to find the camp we had rented to be a total s-hole dirty beer cans everywhere so we didnt get to fish thurs eve. due to me argueing with the owner of the camp for 2 hrs on the phone. went to fourchon fri am made it 1/2 way to the islands and turned around it was rough and didnt wanna beat my wife to death so we fished in the marsh only to keep 2 reds and 3 specks got on a school of ret reds (12-15 in) caught em every cast for a hour oh well better than nothing, a friend came down fri eve. and we surf fished for 45 min it was very rough manager to catch 1 nice speck. sat morn ran out to the islands a little bumpy and the trout were a little small!! kept 25 prob released 100 - 125 8-11 inch specks the wife caught a 5 ft shark it was cool watching her fight the fish on a med. rod . sunday we went to golden meadow and caught 4 reds 1 flounder and 2 specks only fished for a few hours made it home to BR by 1:00 all in all we had a good time even though we didnt catch as many specks as we would have liked to
