Default Choupique Bayou

Got out on the water with my Dad and two boys around 5:00 yesterday afternoon. Started off slow with the boys picking up croakers. Tide started out a little faster and we picked up several reds and a few throw back drum and more croaker(my boys don't cull much). Was going to head out for another area when we noticed bait(shad) being blown up in about 14-16 inches of water. Picked up another nice red and flounder before heading in to clean. Released 4 GREAT EATING rat reds and 3 drum. Didn't MOP up, but the boys had fun and we ended up with a couple quart ziploc filets with the croaker.

Good trip man. Had a buddy take his yak in Choupique, and managed his limit.. Said it was site casting to blow ups.. Couldn't catch any blind casting

Thanks Guys. Always end up in the bayou when short on time. My boys have had a couple good trips there so now, every time we go out, that's their first spot. They think its the only place holding fish.
