Default Johnson Bayou Beach 7-1-11

Decided to try and take advantage of the North wind this morning and made a trip down to Holly Beach to try some surf fishing. Water was horrible at Holly Beach with tons of grass washing ashore. Went west past Little Florida and had the same luck. Big muddy waves breaking over with unbelievable amount of grass washing ashore. Drove around couple of hours waiting to see if it would clear up but after 9:00 we decided to call it a day and save it for another day. We were the only ones fishing the beach from Holly beach to Little Florida (that should have been a sign). Looked for Raymond but even he was smart enough not to try and fish it. Tide was very strong coming in so it may have cleared up after we left but we chose to try it again Saturday. Will be taking the boat back Saturday so hopefully have some better luck.

Thanks for the report Mr Duhon.

I was wondering if it had gotten better since yesterday. Sounds like it got even worse.

Must be something from that tropical storm.
No winds for the past few days should have cleaned that chocolate up.

Green water was close. Might clear up soon if wind stays calm, amount of grass was crazy. Could not make a single cast without catching seaweed salad. Going to try pencil rigs tmw.

Southwest wind has been blowing overnight and I believe that has the choco milk effect going on. Looks like it will continue per forecast through the weekend. Heading out in a minute to try Turners in the big boat.
